Our Method

BaziMuse separates chart calculation from interpretation on purpose. This page explains our transparent workflow — how birth input becomes pillars, facts, and readable narrative — without claiming scientific proof or hiding uncertainty.

Step 1 — Birth input you provide

You enter birth year, month, day, optional hour and minute, gender if relevant to luck-cycle display, and an IANA time zone. Optional location coordinates may refine solar-time adjustments when enabled. We treat missing hour as missing — never fabricated.

Step 2 — Time zone and calendar anchoring

Civil birth time is interpreted in the time zone you select so day boundaries align with local clocks. Month pillars in our engine follow solar-term boundaries consistent with mainstream BaZi practice. This step produces a deterministic timestamp for calculation; it is not a personality judgment.

Step 3 — Four Pillars calculation

The deterministic engine derives year, month, day, and hour pillars as stem-branch pairs, along with hidden stems and elemental relationships used later as structural evidence. Results are reproducible: the same input yields the same chart facts.

Step 4 — Authorized chart facts

Before narrative generation, BaziMuse assembles an evidence layer: which pillars exist, Day Master identity, five-element presence, selected traditional labels, and explicit notes when data is partial (for example, unknown hour). Interpretation may only reference facts present in this layer — a guard against invented details.

Step 5 — Interpretation for readable language

An AI-assisted layer translates authorized facts into everyday prose within the traditional BaZi framework. Tone stays reflective, not fatalistic. Sections cover temperament themes, balance, and exploratory life motifs. This is cultural interpretation for entertainment and self-reflection — not clinical assessment or empirically validated forecasting.

Step 6 — Safety, limits, and audit mindset

Outputs pass schema and policy checks where configured. Disclaimers remind users that readings are not professional advice. We log validation failures internally for quality review without exposing private birth data in public pages. Users should cross-check resonant themes with real life and discard what does not fit. Transparency about method builds trust; transparency about limits keeps the experience honest.
