BaZiMuse is operated by Weihong Wang, an individual operator in the People’s Republic of China.

For personal information processed in connection with BaZiMuse, Weihong Wang is the data controller, personal information handler, or equivalent responsible party where applicable law uses that terminology.

This Privacy Policy explains how BaZiMuse processes information when you use our BaZi chart calculation, Free Reading, Full Reading, payment, report recovery, support, and related website functions.

We describe the product as it actually operates and do not claim that no third party ever processes information.

When requesting a BaZi chart or reading, you may provide birth date, optional birth time, birthplace or selected geographic coordinates, timezone, and gender selection, including an option not to specify gender where available.

You may provide an email address when you request an optional notification, purchase a Full Reading, receive purchase or service communications, recover purchased access, request support, or request a refund.

If you contact support, we also process the information contained in your message.

We do not ask you to create an account password to generate a reading.

From the information you submit, BaZiMuse may calculate and process a BaZi chart, chart-derived structural data, and generated reading content.

For purchases, we may receive or create transaction-related information such as an order identifier, product identifier, payment status, amount, currency, refund status, report version, entitlement status, timestamps, and information needed to deliver or recover the purchased report.

We do not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code on BaZiMuse servers.

We may also process locale, source page, timestamps, limited product events, anonymous visitor identifiers, anonymous session identifiers, and limited technical or security information used for reliability, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

We use information to calculate the requested chart, generate and deliver readings, process and fulfil a Full Reading purchase, send purchase and recovery communications, restore purchased access, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, apply rate limits, troubleshoot errors, protect the Service, maintain operational records, understand aggregate product usage, and meet applicable accounting, tax, dispute, or legal obligations.

We do not use birth information or generated readings to build advertising profiles.

We do not sell personal information.

The legal basis depends on applicable law and on why the information is being processed.

Where recognized by applicable law, processing may be necessary to perform a contract or take steps requested by you before entering into a contract, including generating a requested reading, processing a purchase, delivering a Full Reading, restoring access, and responding to service requests.

We may rely on your consent for optional notifications, optional communications, international transfers, or other processing where consent is required by applicable law.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may process limited information for legitimate operational interests or equivalent lawful grounds, including service security, fraud and abuse prevention, troubleshooting, reliability, and limited aggregate product analytics, provided those interests are not overridden by applicable rights.

We may process or retain information where necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations, accounting requirements, tax requirements, disputes, payment investigations, or valid legal requests.

Where applicable law requires a different or additional legal basis, that requirement controls.

To generate natural-language readings, BaZiMuse currently uses DeepSeek as its third-party AI language provider, and sends chart-derived information and other information reasonably necessary for the requested reading to that provider. That provider processes the request to return text to us. The Service architecture may support other AI providers in the future; material changes to AI providers or processing practices will be reflected in this Privacy Policy where required by applicable law.

The Service has been designed to avoid sending payment-card credentials, passwords, provider credentials, or unrelated personal information to an AI provider for reading generation. AI-generated output may contain inaccuracies and is provided for entertainment and self-reflection. The specific AI provider used by the Service may change over time as infrastructure changes.

When you search for a birthplace, place text may be sent to a geocoding provider (Photon) so that the Service can suggest locations and resolve geographic information necessary for chart calculation. Only information required for that functionality should be transmitted.

We do not send your data to advertising networks. We do not claim that “nothing is ever shared with any third party,” because AI and geocoding providers necessarily process request data to provide those features.

BaZiMuse relies on third-party providers to operate the Service. These may include hosting and application infrastructure providers, database providers, AI language providers, geocoding providers, email-delivery providers, limited analytics infrastructure, and payment providers.

When production payments are enabled, Waffo Pancake acts as merchant of record and processes payment-related information necessary to complete transactions, handle applicable taxes, process refunds, and manage payment disputes. Payment-card credentials are processed by Waffo Pancake and/or its payment partners and are not stored on BaZiMuse servers.

Service providers process information as necessary to provide their respective services and subject to their applicable contractual and legal obligations.

We do not send personal information to advertising networks for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal data. We do not claim that “nothing is ever shared with any third party,” because these providers necessarily process data to deliver the features above.

After a successful validated Free Reading generation, BaZiMuse may store the generated report as a durable snapshot so that an identical request using the same relevant inputs, language, and report version can reuse the same report without another AI call.

The durable Free Reading snapshot may contain the generated report, a hashed reuse key, locale, report version, timestamps, and limited access counters.

The snapshot record is designed not to contain the raw birth date, raw birth time, birthplace text, latitude or longitude, email address, analytics visitor or session identifiers, AI prompts, or provider credentials. A short-lived in-memory cache may also be used for performance, but it is not the only reuse mechanism.

We do not publish a fixed retention period for these snapshots, and we do not claim automated deletion is implemented.

When you purchase a Full Reading, BaZiMuse may durably store the order, purchase email, report version, entitlement status, generated report snapshot, timestamps, and related information necessary to deliver and recover the purchased report.

Access-recovery links may use high-entropy tokens. Where the Service stores a token-derived identifier, the implementation may store a cryptographic hash rather than the raw token.

A refund or revocation may cause the entitlement associated with the affected order to be disabled.

BaZiMuse does not currently use third-party advertising cookies. We do not currently use analytics cookies either; for aggregate product analytics we use first-party browser storage. The Service may use first-party browser storage for functions such as language preference and anonymous product analytics.

An anonymous visitor identifier may be stored in localStorage across visits, and an anonymous session identifier may be stored in sessionStorage for the current browsing session.

These identifiers are randomly generated UUIDs and are not intended to be derived from browser fingerprinting such as device, canvas, font, or browser-attribute probing. IP addresses are not stored as user identifiers.

They are used only in aggregate to measure product activity, such as visits, form completion, report generation, funnel activity, and language or market usage. They are not used to build advertising profiles, and they are not linked to your birth details, chart, or readings, even though a report may also be processed in the same session.

You can remove browser-stored identifiers by clearing site data / local storage for this site in your browser settings. Clearing them does not restrict any feature of the product.

BaZiMuse uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the Service and the information processed. These include HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, server-side handling of secrets and credentials, access controls, hashed or high-entropy access identifiers where appropriate, restricted API responses, and technical controls intended to reduce unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, and excessive automated use.

Rate-limiting or abuse-prevention systems may use a hashed network identity or an anonymous shared bucket. Raw IP addresses are not intended to be returned in public API responses or used as persistent analytics user identifiers.

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and as permitted or required by applicable law.

Free Reading snapshots may be retained while they are reasonably needed to provide consistent repeated readings for the relevant report version and to operate that feature.

Purchase records and transaction metadata may be retained while needed for fulfilment, purchased-access recovery, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, dispute handling, audit, and legal obligations. Purchased report snapshots may be retained while necessary to provide the persistent access associated with the purchase and for related operational or legal purposes.

Optional notification information may be retained while reasonably necessary to provide the requested notification or until you withdraw that request, subject to information that must be retained for legal, security, or evidentiary reasons. Support communications may be retained while reasonably necessary to resolve the issue and maintain appropriate records.

Where applicable law requires a fixed retention period, we follow that requirement. Where no fixed period applies, we consider the purpose of processing, the amount and sensitivity of the information, legal requirements, security needs, dispute risks, and whether continued retention remains necessary.

We do not state that information is automatically deleted after a fixed period unless such deletion has actually been implemented.

Because BaZiMuse uses internet-based service providers, information may be processed in a country or region different from the one in which you are located.

Where applicable law requires additional notice, a contractual safeguard, a regulatory mechanism, consent, separate consent, or another legal condition before an international transfer, the applicable requirement must be satisfied for that transfer. Jurisdiction-specific transfer information or consent may therefore be presented separately where required.

The applicable transfer mechanism can depend on the user’s location, the recipient, the type of information, and the processing involved. This notice is informational and is not a claim of GDPR, CCPA, adequacy, certification, or any other compliance status.

Personalized BaZi reading features are not currently offered to users located in Mainland China. Users in Mainland China may access public informational pages, but may not submit birth information for personalized Free Reading or Full Reading generation or purchase personalized reports.

This notice describes current product availability. It does not claim that no technical processing of website requests takes place, and it is not a statement that BaZiMuse is categorically outside the scope of any particular data-protection law.

Depending on where you live and the law applicable to the processing, you may have the right to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, or portability of certain information.

Where processing is based on consent, you may have the right to withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

You may also have the right to complain to a competent privacy, data-protection, or regulatory authority. Where applicable law provides a right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right, BaZiMuse will respect that right.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the request and protect personal information from unauthorized disclosure. Some information may need to be retained where permitted or required by law, including for transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, legal-claim, audit, or security purposes.

If you voluntarily request a notification about Full Reading payment availability, the email address provided for that purpose is used for the requested notification and related operational handling. An optional notification does not create a subscription or payment obligation.

Where applicable law gives you the right to withdraw consent to optional communications, you may do so by contacting us or by using an available unsubscribe mechanism. Service communications necessary to fulfil or recover a purchase may still be sent where legally permitted.

BaZiMuse does not sell personal information and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Birth information and generated readings are not used to create advertising profiles. If these practices materially change, this Policy must be updated before or when the new processing begins, as required by applicable law.

BaZiMuse is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer the Service to children or knowingly collect children’s personal information for their own use of the Service.

If we learn that information relating to a child has been collected in circumstances where it should not have been collected, we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, our processing practices, or applicable requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the current version.

Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it.
